That original building served the city well but a new structure was needed as Chula Vista grew. In 1951, the current Chula Vista City Hall was erected. The cost was approximately $99000. Back then, this building also housed the fire and police departments.
Today, Chula Vista City Hall is home to the five city council members. The mayor’s office is also located here. This is where the important work of local government happens.
