What began as a vision in Southfield, Michigan, now stands before us as World Deliverance Temple. This temple is more than just bricks and mortar. It is a testament to faith, community, and a journey that began with just fifty people.

World Deliverance Temple started as International Deliverance Tabernacle in 1998. Elder Roy D. Ferguson led that first remarkable service. He was no stranger to church leadership. Ferguson brought thirty-two years of experience from International Gospel Center.

In 1999, World Deliverance Temple took a leap of faith. They produced a live musical recording. It was called “The Genesis”. The World Deliverance Inspirational Choir and friends like LaShaun Pace and Esther Smith were featured. The CD’s sales helped purchase this very building.

In December 1999, the congregation moved here. Elder Ferguson soon became Bishop-Elect Ferguson. God continued to elevate him and grow his ministry.

Bishop-Elect Ferguson envisioned a beautiful sanctuary. Upgrades were planned for the exterior too. After one short year, World Deliverance Temple began a 1.5 million dollar renovation. The state-of-the-art facility now covers 24000 square feet. The exterior was completely redesigned. The parking lot was refurbished. The grounds are beautifully landscaped.

Inside, you will find a new administrative wing. Kidz Zone is a day care facility. It features training classrooms and computers. New pews elegant carpeting and chandeliers adorn the sanctuary. It has a seating capacity of 1000 people.

Bishop-Elect Ferguson was consecrated as a Bishop in April 2004. He obtained a degree from the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops. This concluded with a pilgrimage to Rome and a visit to the Vatican. He even had an audience with Pope John Paul II.

World Deliverance Temple has a growing diverse membership. It blends professionals and blue-collar workers. It welcomes African-Americans and Caucasians, young and old, men and women. The ministry’s culture is friendly loving and harmonious.

World Deliverance Temple is an evangelistic ministry. Ministers travel the globe to preach the gospel. Bishop Ferguson has led pilgrimages from the United States to the Holy Land. These sacred journeys have become a signature ministry.

Bishop Ferguson has a progressive plan for the ministry. It is dedicated to improving lives and supporting those in need. It provides services to the surrounding community. This plan is called “The 20/20 Vision”. Its implementation is underway. God has opened pathways to land acquisition community outreach and financial freedom.

World Deliverance Temple stands as a beacon of faith and a testament to Bishop Ferguson’s vision. It is a place where spirituality meets community service. It is a place where everyone is welcome.
