It began as a co-educational school, welcoming boys and girls alike. Then, the school decided to divide. The year was 1978, and the boys went to Pinetown Boys’ High School. There, they were able to focus on their own unique educational needs. Ever since, Pinetown Girls High School has been a haven for girls, giving them the tools they need to succeed in a world that increasingly calls for female leadership. You may be surprised to learn that Pearl Thusi, a well-known actress, model, television host, and radio personality, walked these very halls.
