In 1990, Springburn College merged with Barmulloch College. The merged entity was named North Glasgow College. The college remained in the former headquarters of the North British Locomotive Company.

In early 2009, North Glasgow College moved to a new purpose-built campus. This new campus was located opposite the old one. It was on the site of the former NBL Hyde Park railway works. In 2009, the new college building even won a Royal Institute of British Architects Award for its design.
