Many Seoul citizens love Ansan Mountain. They come here to rest and exercise. The well-maintained 3-kilometer walking trail takes about two and a half hours to complete.

Imagine strolling through a flowering cherry forest. Picture yourself wandering through a birch forest or a metasequoia forest. These quiet paths on Ansan Mountain encourage peaceful reflection.

The Ansan Jarak-gil trail has gained praise for its quality and accessibility.

An observation deck sits atop Ansan. From here, you get a jaw-dropping view of Seoul and the surrounding area. You can see Inwang Mountain, Bukhan Mountain, and even the Han River.

Ansan Mountain has trails for everyone. Many paths have boardwalks. This makes hiking easier for all ages. You won’t have to worry about slipping or tripping.

Ansan Dulegil is especially popular in spring. The cherry blossoms draw many visitors in March and April. The Ansan Dulegil became famous after a romantic scene in the SBS drama “Gentleman’s Dignity.” Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul shared a kiss amidst a cherry blossom tunnel.

More recently, Kim Dong Wan from the group Shinhwa was seen cycling along the Ansan Dulegil in the MBC variety program “I Live Alone”.

At the top of Ansan Mountain stands the Beacon Fire Station. It is a prime spot to watch the sunrise. It is also a secret location for enjoying the Seoul Fireworks Festival.

At the bottom of Ansan Mountain’s southeastern hillside lies Bongwonsa Temple. This is the head temple of the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism.

Near Ansan, you can also find other attractions. Explore Hongjecheon. Visit Ansan City Nature Park. Discover Seodaemun Independence Park. Or take a look around Yonsei University and Ewha Woman’s University.
