What is a church’s most important tool for reaching the world? At Hosanna Community Church in Tomball, Texas, they believe it’s relationships. Hosanna Community Church goes beyond just welcoming people through its doors. They strive to build genuine connections that reflect the love and generosity of Jesus Christ. The church’s mission is rooted in Matthew 5:13-16. This passage inspires them to be the salt and light of the world, making a positive impact on their community and beyond. Interestingly, Hosanna Community Church hasn’t always gone by that name. Founded in 1958, it was originally called Britmoore Baptist Church. It later transitioned to New Life Communion in 1992. Finally, in 1997, under the leadership of Pastor James Bell, the church adopted the name Hosanna, meaning “we are being saved”. This change marked a significant shift in their journey. Today, Hosanna Community Church, led by Pastor Gerald Phillips, continues its mission of spreading faith and fostering a loving community. They invite everyone, regardless of background, to join them in their journey of faith and service.
