The emperor put Islamic crescents and finials on the temple. No Muslim attacker ever damaged this temple. The current structure was built by Maharaja Man Singh I. Maharaja Jai Singh II later expanded it.

The Prachin Sati Math Mandir’s main attraction is the continuous chanting of “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram”. This mantra has been chanted non-stop since 1 August 1964. It has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.
