Inside Palazzo Olivazzi Trivulzio, the courtyard has porticoes. Three lowered arches per side are supported by Ionic columns. Originally, frescoes by Tiepolo and Mattia Preti decorated the inside.

The Palazzo Olivazzi Trivulzio changed hands several times. The Tanzi family owned it in the late eighteenth century. In 1810, it passed to the Nava family. Later, the Poldi Pezzoli family acquired it. Finally, it came into the possession of the Trivulzio family.

Albert Einstein’s family lived here for six years from 1894. Albert himself stayed with them. A commemorative plaque marks this.

The building has four floors. A barocchetta balcony sits on the corner of the first floor. Granite brackets support it. There is a rich stone and iron railing. A large foliage cartouche is beneath the balcony.

The facade of Palazzo Olivazzi Trivulzio has a grand arched portal. It sits within an elliptical niche. This design facilitated carriage entry.

The courtyard has porticos on opposite sides. The back facade curves. A Cupid fountain made of white marble is at the center. A vestibule with lowered cupola vaults leads to the staircase. The staircase accesses the noble floor. The two flights have stucco-decorated vaults.
