Old Rickety Bridge

Motorcyclists proceed cautiously to stay on the central planks. On either side of the motorbike lane are narrow pedestrian walkways. These walkways, cantilevered out from the main structure, offer a thrilling experience. The views are stunning, but the condition of the planks keeps you on your toes. Some planks are missing or damaged, adding an element of risk to the crossing. The best views, however, are from the center of the east walkway. From here, you can see the muddy waters of the Nam Khan River flowing towards distant mountains. It’s a quintessential Luang Prabang vista.
