“Why Platt College San Diego?” That’s a great question. Platt College San Diego empowered students. It fostered a learning environment. The college sadly ceased offering classes in 2023. Rising costs and low enrollment were factors. The lease renewal also played a role.

Platt College San Diego aimed to keep tuition low. Platt’s programs focused on careers. Digital creation constantly changes. Platt College San Diego kept up with evolutions. Technology was updated to stay relevant. The school structure fit the student’s life. Students took one class at a time. They focused on one skill. Skills built upon each class. Morning, afternoon and evening class sessions were offered.

Career Services helped current students and alumni. Representatives met with students. They provided resources through graduation and beyond. Platt College San Diego had school spirit. Students were the number one priority. Courtyard activities brought people together. Celebrations and educational events took place.

Students showcased artwork at galleries. They displayed designs throughout San Diego. Student work appeared on Platt’s social media. Extracurricular activities inspired students outside class. Field trips and community events took place.

Platt students participated in the 48 Hour Film Project. Students wrote, filmed, and edited a short film. Alumni worked on major films. These included The Avengers and Avatar.

Platt College San Diego welcomed military personnel. It was on the Military Friendly Schools list. The college embraced military members and veterans. Campus tours were given daily. “Welcome Wednesdays” were held for interested students. Middle and high school students participated in “CG Week”. They learned Photoshop, animation, and graphic design basics.

Platt College Los Angeles LLC operated four campuses. The mission was achieving excellence. This was done one student at a time. Since 1985, Platt College focused on education. They believed it was the foundation for growth. Students developed to their full potential. Platt College provided balanced instruction. Students gained specialized knowledge. They developed skills for in-demand fields. Platt College continuously updated its offerings. They served students’ and employers’ needs.

A primary goal was assisting graduates in their job search. The Career Services department helped graduates. They also assisted current students seeking jobs. The school could not guarantee employment. Students pursued job referrals through Career Services. Career Services built job acquiring skills. They offered interviews and workshops. Career planning and resume writing were taught. Students researched potential employers.

Anne Balver graduated from Platt College Alhambra. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Her goal was to become a police officer. Kenny enrolled in Platt College Anaheim’s IT program. Samantha Monsouir transitioned to remote learning. Robert enrolled in Platt College Riverside’s IT program. He landed a job as a Support Technician at Amazon. One graduate worked at United Medical Imaging. Platt College San Diego provided students with skills. The school helped them achieve their dreams. Though Platt College San Diego closed its doors it left behind a legacy. The college helped shape the lives of many.
