Mold, a silent enemy, took hold, rendering the building unusable. The congregation, displaced from their spiritual home, faced a difficult journey. They sought refuge in temporary churches, but the lack of a permanent home took its toll. Members struggled to maintain their ministries. The congregation dwindled as people sought stability elsewhere. Dr. Janice Holmes, co-pastor of El Shaddai Missionary Baptist Church, expressed the profound impact of this displacement. She shared the devastation felt by the community, recalling the church’s former beauty. Despite the hardships, the church leaders remained determined. They organized fundraisers, hoping to rebuild their beloved church. They appealed to the public for support, seeking financial assistance or even a donated building.
