Parco Cabassina hasn’t always been a place of peace and leisure. It has seen its share of transformations. Did you know that it was once scheduled for a major makeover? A project so grand, it aimed to revitalize the entire park, including its iconic lake. The plan was to reinforce the lake’s banks with massive stones, creating a scenic shoreline. They even envisioned observation points along the water, inviting visitors to pause and appreciate the park’s natural beauty. However, like many ambitious plans, this one encountered a few hiccups. Work began, but the unpredictable Milanese weather had other plans. Heavy rains turned the ground into a muddy mess, making it impossible for heavy machinery to enter and continue the lake’s transformation. For now, Parco Cabassina awaits the return of the sun and the revival of this grand project.
