Founded in 1960 Guilin University of Electronic Technology Huajiang Campus stands proudly. Its history is rich. It was once the Guilin Institute of Electronic Technology. The State Council approved its establishment in 1980. It later became Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology in 2006. The university has a long and storied past. It’s been under various ministries. These include the Fourth Ministry of Machinery Industry and the Ministry of Information Industry. In 2000 a shift occurred.
