In 2011, Queen Park got a burst of color. Artist REZIN and students from St. John Chrysostom School created a mural. It celebrates nature’s wonders. Birds fly across the wall. Butterflies flutter. Fresh fruits and vegetables grow in vibrant colors.

REZIN, or Ron Lewis, is a Los Angeles artist. His graffiti style grew from the LA music scene. He drew cartoon-style vegetables and tropical birds. These brighten the community garden’s east wall. The students added colors. REZIN added shading. He made the Queen Park Garden mural truly vibrant. The mural is 4 feet by 42 feet. It is made with acrylic latex on cinderblock.

Queen Park also has other things to enjoy. There are barbecue pits. Lighted baseball diamonds await. You can play on the basketball courts. Lighted tennis courts are available. A children’s play area offers fun. Restrooms are available.
