The church initially resided at 4013 Shelby Circle. In 1988, they purchased land at Brandon and Holmes Road with dreams of a new sanctuary. However, fate led them to their current location on Selinsky Road. They moved here in May 1989, initially leasing the facilities. By 1991, they secured a 10-year mortgage, paying it off in an impressive eight years. The Ark of Restitution Baptist Church has always been driven by a vision of growth – spiritual, financial, and economic. This vision, spearheaded by Pastor Cooper in 2000, led to a remarkable building fund drive. They achieved their goal of raising $50,000 in just eight months, a testament to the dedication of the church community. Today, the Ark of Restitution Baptist Church is not just a place of worship. It’s a beacon of hope for the surrounding community, actively working to empower its residents through Christian service, love, and leadership.
