Arvada Presbyterian Church

In 1913, a determined group of faithful began a journey to establish the Arvada Presbyterian Church. They envisioned a place of worship, a beacon of faith in their growing community. Their first services were held in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. But their dream was to have their own church. A building committee was formed, and two lots were purchased at the corner of West 57th Avenue and Yukon Street. The members themselves, with their own hands, excavated the foundation for the Arvada Presbyterian Church. The cornerstone was laid on October 30, 1915. Imagine the excitement as the building began to take shape. Less than a year later, in June 1916, the Arvada Presbyterian Church was dedicated. It became a spiritual home, a place of fellowship and service. The Arvada Presbyterian Church has always been more than just a building. It embodies a mission to empower God’s people. It serves as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, nurturing those in need within the church, the community, and the world.
