As of 2022 the enrollment was roughly 2200 students. Culver City High School earned recognition. It became a California Distinguished School in 2005.

Many notable alumni walked these halls. They include Kurt Alexander Big Boy a radio host. Kelvin Atkinson became Nevada State Senate Majority Leader. Ben Brode designed Hearthstone and MARVEL SNAP. Robert Trujillo became the bassist for Metallica.

The district includes Culver City. It also includes a portion of Los Angeles. The five-member Board of Education governs Culver City’s public schools. The five-member elected City Council governs the city. Culver City transitioned in 1947. It changed from a general law city to a charter city.

Harry H Culver dreamed of a balanced city. He started plans for the city in 1913. It became an incorporated entity in 1917. Culver City Unified School District became unified in 1949. It provides education from kindergarten through 12th grade.
