Isn’t it wonderful how a community hub blossoms right here in the heart of Las Vegas? This is Baker Park. It’s more than just a park. It’s a place where social connections thrive. Active, safe, and engaging parks foster strong neighborly interactions. Baker Park stands as a testament to this ideal.

Baker Park is located at 1020 East St. Louis Avenue. You may not realize it, but this park significantly contributes to the quality of life in the Southridge Neighborhood. It also borders the historic Beverly Green Neighborhood. Fremont Middle School students benefit too. They share the use of the grass fields and pool for their Physical Education classes.

Back in November 2015, a project began to revitalize Baker Park. LGA Architecture was contracted to spearhead these improvements. The focus was on enhancing the park’s amenities. This included new field turf and lighting for the soccer area. A new splash pad and playground were added too. The pool building was reconstructed. The pool itself got a complete renovation.

The goals of the project were ambitious and community-focused. First, the aim was to create a recreational destination. It would actively engage the community. The goal was to create a fun and exciting environment. A unique identity for the overall park and pool facility was important. The design needed a theme that connected it to its place. The park’s designers were respectful to the students and faculty of CCSD and Fremont Middle School.

City of Las Vegas project team members realized something important. Many people visited Baker Park specifically for the soccer fields. Planners extended the soccer theme beyond the fields. It now flows into other public areas of the park. You’ll see it in the new splash pads. You can spot it at the sports wall practice area. It’s even in the orientation plaza with the signature soccer ball sculpture. This cohesive soccer theme runs through all equipment and amenities. It creates a unified experience throughout the renovated Baker Park.

Covering a vast expanse, Baker Park provides several recreational opportunities. There’s a playground for children. Restrooms ensure comfort and convenience. Of course, there are the soccer fields. The swimming pool offers a refreshing escape.

Baker Park sits at an elevation of 2011 feet above sea level. Its precise location is N36.14690 degrees latitude and W115.14070 degrees longitude. This puts it on the USGS 1:24K topographic map Las Vegas NW, NV.

Baker Park is not just a collection of amenities. It’s a vibrant hub where the community gathers. It’s a place where children play, athletes train, and neighbors connect. Baker Park truly embodies the spirit of Las Vegas. It provides a space for recreation, relaxation, and community engagement.
