Today, Cascina Palazzetta is privately owned. It is undergoing a significant transformation. Palazzetta Imm.re entrusted architect Calzavacca with a recovery plan. The plan aims to revitalize the complex. The goal is to convert it into residential and tertiary spaces. This will be achieved through careful restructuring and restoration.
The project respects the architectural heritage of Cascina Palazzetta. The plan includes three types of interventions. First, there is the conservative restoration. This applies to the building with direct monumental restrictions. It will be designated for offices. Second, the remaining buildings will be reconstructed. Finally, a partial 20% expansion will reconfigure the existing layout.
The result will be a central courtyard. It will be surrounded by three groups of buildings with varying heights. The historic building will occupy the central position. Two blocks of two-story apartments will be added. A series of one-story houses will be arranged perpendicularly to the area.
The existing buildings cover 3,201 square meters. The expansion will add 391 square meters. The project was recently readopted. Approval is expected soon.
