The area was initially divided into three residential blocks. Block 1 encompassed the Cầu Chui intersection and part of the Khu Ga area. Block 2 covered the Phố Ô Cách area. Block 3 included the Phố Thanh Am area. Beyond these blocks, Phường Đức Giang also oversaw areas like the Cầu Đuống machinery plant, Diêm Thống Nhất, the Thượng Thanh residential area, and the Tổng cục Hậu Cần residential area. A significant shift occurred on November 6, 2003. Phường Đức Giang transitioned from Gia Lâm district to become part of Long Bien District. This marked a key moment in its journey. Later, in August 2004, four residential groups were transferred to Thượng Thanh ward. Two groups were received from Thượng Thanh and Gia Thuý wards. By 2005, Phường Đức Giang comprised 33 residential groups, housing about 23,800 residents. Phường Đức Giang covers 240.06 hectares. It’s divided into 34 residential groups and 25 residential areas. The population is approximately 28,495, with a density of about 11,823 people per square kilometer. Phường Đức Giang’s economy has blossomed from its humble beginnings.
