In 2006, a new chapter began for the athletic heart of Vyronas. The Kleisto Gymnastirio Ergánis, also known as the “Dimitris Kaltsas” Indoor Hall, opened its doors. This modern sports center stands as a testament to the community’s dedication to athletics and the legacy of Dimitris Kaltsas. The Kleisto Gymnastirio Ergánis has become a hub for various sports. It’s hosted basketball, volleyball, handball, and even badminton tournaments. In 2010, it served as a training ground for Athinaikos A.S. during the EuroCup. The Kleisto Gymnastirio Ergánis isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant part of Vyronas. It represents the energy and passion of the city. The main hall boasts an impressive 18 x 36 meter court. This space is ideal for large-scale events and competitions. With a capacity of 320 spectators, the Kleisto Gymnastirio Ergánis provides an intimate yet energetic atmosphere for athletes and fans alike. The hall’s wooden floor adds a classic touch to the modern facility, enhancing the athletic experience for all who step onto it. Beyond the main hall, you’ll find additional amenities designed to support athletes and visitors. The entire facility covers an area of 1,421.15 square meters. It ensures ample space for various sporting activities and gatherings. The free floor area is slightly smaller, at 12.20 meters. Even smaller still, the free ceiling height stands at 11 meters. The Kleisto Gymnastirio Ergánis has been the home of numerous local teams. It continues to play a crucial role in fostering the athletic spirit within the community.
