Feel the cool marble beneath your feet. Welcome to Mosque Bilal also known as El Mina Mosque. This magnificent structure isn’t just a place of worship it’s a testament to Hurghada’s rich history.

Originally built in 1968 the mosque you see today is a newer version. Construction began in 2006 and it officially opened in 2012. The old building couldn’t accommodate everyone especially during Friday prayers or major holidays. So a larger more modern mosque was needed.

Look at the two impressive minarets. They stand tall reaching about 40 meters into the sky. The entire building is constructed from pure white marble. Intricate carvings and traditional oriental ornaments adorn the facades.

Step inside and you’ll find a spacious inner hall. Magnificent chandeliers hang from the high ceiling. Elaborate arches and carved walls create a breathtaking atmosphere. The central dome soars to a height of 25 meters. The mosque is a beautiful blend of modern design and traditional Islamic architecture.

The mosque serves as a spiritual center for the local Muslim community. It’s also a popular tourist attraction. Many tour groups include a visit here to experience the beauty and the cultural significance of the mosque. Remember to dress respectfully when visiting. Women should cover their hair knees and shoulders. You can borrow a dress at the mosque if needed.

Mosque Bilal is more than just a building. It is a symbol of faith community and Hurghada’s enduring spirit. Its presence enriches the city’s landscape offering a peaceful refuge and a captivating glimpse into the heart of the local culture. Take a moment to appreciate its serenity and beauty.
