New Life Presbyterian Church started small. It was just a Bible study in the early 1970s. Jack and Rose Marie Miller opened their home. They wanted to share Jesus’ love. The group grew quickly. They moved from the living room to a library. Then a YMCA. After that a gymnasium. Finally, they met in a restaurant.
In 1974, New Life was formally organized. It became part of the Philadelphia Presbytery. This is part of the Presbyterian Church in America.
New Life’s mission is clear. They want to make Jesus known. This applies to each other. It applies to the community. It applies to the world. The church believes in gospel-centered ministry. They believe the gospel has power. It empowers Christians and non-believers.
This dynamism led to new congregations. Seminarians planted these churches. They went out from New Life. The church also started mission enterprises. A renewal movement grew. It was known as “Sonship.”
Today, New Life meets in Glenside. It’s at the corner of Jenkintown and Easton Roads. They support missionaries overseas. They plant churches in Philadelphia. They reach out to their community.
In recent years, they renewed their efforts. They love their neighbors. They have a food cupboard. They run the New Life Thrift Store. They operate a New Life Nursery School. They participate in community events.
New Life United Brethren Church embraces diversity. It believes in dynamic worship. They proclaim Jesus. The church welcomes everyone. They invite you to step into their sanctuary. It’s a space filled with song and prayer. The Word of God resonates.
Rev. James G.S. Kabangai and Mrs. Rosaline M. Kabangai lead the church. They have been in ministry for over 40 years. They have a heart of humility. They are passionate about kingdom building. They love their local church. They preach the truth of God’s Word. They apply it to everyday lives.

New Life offers many programs. They have a Health and Wellness Program. They connect people to medication and healthcare. They have a Child Development Program. They offer services for children ages 2 and up. They run a Youth Development Program. It engages high school youth. They also have an Elders Empowerment Program. It provides food distribution. It provides medication drop-offs.
