General Lectures isn’t just one big room though. It houses two main lecture halls, 0100 and 0150, plus a space called the Italian Lounge. Think of the energy in those halls during a major event. General Lectures is more than just a place for lectures. It’s a hub for large gatherings, important events, and even has state-of-the-art technology to make any presentation shine. Inside General Lectures, room 0100 can accommodate a staggering 750 people, auditorium style. Room 0150, while smaller, still provides seating for a respectable 245 attendees. Each room is equipped with a projection system, multiple large displays, a digital podium, wireless microphones, and even an Echo360 recording microphone for capturing lectures. Imagine the possibilities. Student organizations at Wayne State can use General Lectures for free. University departments also enjoy free room rental, but pay a fee for the A/V equipment. External organizations looking to utilize the space have a rental fee of $750, plus an $800 A/V charge if they use the built-in tech. If a student organization charges admission for an event in General Lectures, they pay the same rate as outside groups.
