What secrets does the San’t Ana neighbourhood hold? Here in Dili, San’t Ana isn’t just a name on a map. It’s a vibrant tapestry woven from threads of history, culture, and resilience. San’t Ana is located in Cristo Rei Administrative Post, at the east end of the Bay of Dili. Before 2004, it was part of Nain Feto. It’s bordered by the Benamauc River, which merges with the Rio Bemori to form the Mota Claran, eventually flowing into the Bay of Dili. San’t Ana pulses with a unique energy, shaped by its location and the diverse communities that call it home. The suco is divided into four aldeias: Bidau Mota Claran, Manu Mata, Toko Baru, and Sagrada Familia. Sagrada Familia occupies over two-thirds of the suco’s area. Within San’t Ana, you’ll also find the distinctions of Bidau Santana on the coast, Mota Claran in the southwest, and Masau in the center. In Masau, you’ll see Escola Primaria No. 2 Bidau Masau, a primary school serving the local children. Two Marian grottos, Gruta de Bidau Masau and Gruta de Bidau Santana, grace the landscape, their serene presence offering a quiet contrast to the bustling life of the suco.
