Established in 2002 the Institute of Business in Dili stands as a beacon of higher education in Timor-Leste. It wasn’t built overnight. The Institute of Business’s story begins with the Klibur Mata Dalan ba Cooperativa Foundation. This foundation had a vision. A vision to elevate Timor-Leste through education. That vision became the Institute of Business.
The Institute of Business rapidly gained recognition. Its quality earned it high national and international scores in 2009. An independent commission from the World Bank lauded its excellence. Academics from six different countries reviewed the Institute. Their assessment confirmed the institution’s remarkable achievements.
Today the Institute of Business boasts three campuses across Dili. Campus A resides on Rua 6 de Setembro Akadiruhun. Campus B is situated on Rua Praia dos Coqueiros. Finally Campus C is located in Comoro at Rua Manleuana Fomento 2. These campuses hum with activity. Thousands of students pursue degrees in economics business and computer technology.
In 2014 over 3700 students were enrolled. They pursued bachelor’s degrees postgraduate qualifications and even masters programs. The Institute of Business forged strong ties with universities in Australia Indonesia and other ASEAN countries.
