William G Bonelli followed by Charles A Holland and Edward L Thrasher. John C Holland served for an impressive 24 years. Art Snyder Richard Alatorre Nick Pacheco and Antonio Villaraigosa all left their marks. Jose Huizar’s tenure ended abruptly. Kevin de León followed then Ysabel Jurado won the seat in 2024. She is the first woman and person of Filipino descent to represent the district. This historic win marks a new chapter for Los Angeles City Council District 14.
