Sixty years of dedication. That’s the legacy whispering from the very stones of Thuyloi University. Right here before you stands a testament to perseverance. Established in 1959 as the Academy of Water Resources and Electricity it began humbly. Only 20 teachers and 40 students. Their mission? To serve a nation rebuilding.

Thuyloi University wasn’t merely an institution. It was a beacon of hope. It faced challenges few universities endure. The war forced a dramatic relocation to the Nghia Phuong mountains. Imagine the hardships. Lectures continued amidst the conflict. Students persevered. Their dedication never faltered.

The post-war era saw Thuyloi University rise from the ashes. It played a vital role in national reconstruction. The university organized working groups assisting agricultural production throughout the country. This ‘Three Combination’ movement training research and consultation lives on today.

The 1980s ushered in a period of reform. Thuyloi University expanded its horizons. It wasn’t just about water resources anymore. It embraced multidisciplinary studies. New subjects enriched the curriculum. A second campus opened in Ho Chi Minh City. Several centers for research blossomed.

The 21st century witnessed strategic growth. Thuyloi University set ambitious goals. Its aim? To become Vietnam’s leading university in its specialized fields. Also it sought to become a top multidisciplinary university. The university partnered with international institutions. This led to advanced programs taught entirely in English.

Today Thuyloi University boasts four campuses. The modern Pho Hien campus alone accommodates 13000 students. It stands as a symbol of progress and partnership. Thuyloi University received countless awards and accolades. These honor its contributions to Vietnam and beyond. The journey from a small academy to a leading university is inspiring. It speaks to the spirit and determination of those who built it. Their legacy continues in the halls of Thuyloi University. A legacy of dedication resilience and unwavering commitment to learning.
