Here at Botho University, a legacy of excellence began in 1997. The institution was formerly known as Botho College and NIIT.
Botho University quickly became Botswana’s largest private tertiary education provider. It offers certificates, diplomas, and graduate degrees. These degrees are in accountancy and computer science.
Botho University achieved a milestone as the first private tertiary institution. It gained accreditation from the Tertiary Education Council. Botho University launched LINKZ The ICT Challenge in 2009. This competition brings together the best ICT students in Botswana. It tests students’ knowledge in company technology. In 2009, more than 300 young people participated. They came from various tertiary institutions. These institutions included the University of Botswana and Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies.
The university has campuses in five African countries. They are in Lesotho, Eswatini, Namibia, and Ghana. A fully online study option is also available.
