“Lights, camera, action” isn’t just a saying here at Five Star Production. It’s a legacy. Founded in 1973, Five Star Production has been a cornerstone of Thai cinema. We stand before one of Thailand’s most well-known film production and distribution companies.

For over four decades, Five Star Production has shaped the Thai film industry. This company has produced more than 260 Thai movies. From new releases to classic films and Thai series, Five Star Production offers a rich collection. These movies are available worldwide.

Five Star Production started as a motion picture studio in 1979. Later, it expanded into TV program production. From 1992 to 1998, it produced drama series. The company also made business deals with Piprodia Entertainment.

Five Star Production’s influence extends beyond Thailand. Tears of the Black Tiger was the first Thai film to compete in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival in 2001. In 2002, Monrak Transistor was selected at Director’s Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2006, Five Star Production collaborated on Black Night. This omnibus film featured stories from Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand.

Five Star Production returned to Cannes in 2007 with Ploy. The film was directed by Pen-Ek Ratanaruang. It was his second time chosen for the Director’s Fortnight.

Muay Thai Chaiya honors the roots of Thai martial arts.

Five Star Production created Stadio. This division is a full-service provider for film marketing.

The company’s film collection comprises about 250 films. These films were made by 70 Thai film directors.
