A haven of faith stands before you. This is the New Born Baptist Church. Its story begins not in grand cathedrals but in a humble living room. In 2014 a small group gathered in West Babylon New York. Their faith was strong. Their desire to share the word of God burned bright. They were the seeds of New Born Christian Ministries Inc. a non-denominational church.
The church’s early years were defined by its devotion to youth. Dr Larry McCord led the congregation. He understood that children are the future. He wanted a place of spiritual and academic growth. A place where young people could reach their full potential. This emphasis on youth set New Birth apart. It drew families seeking a supportive community.
As the congregation blossomed it moved to Freeport New York. Here it flourished into a vibrant multicultural community. The church’s multilingual services demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity. It welcomed people from all backgrounds. They shared a common faith.
The COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges. Yet it also brought opportunities. New Birth found a new home in Uniondale New York. It is near the Uniondale Neighborhood Center. It is a testament to the church’s resilience. It speaks to its dedication to its community.
The vision of New Born Baptist Church extends beyond its walls. It aims to help young people earn scholarships. This is done through athletics and academic excellence. It reflects the church’s deep commitment to its values. These values are God-fearing integrity and honesty. The church fosters a relaxed friendly environment. All are welcome to participate and grow. The New Born Baptist Church isn’t just a place of worship. It is a place of hope growth and community. It is a place where faith is restored. It is a place where lives are changed. Its presence is a beacon of light and love in Uniondale.
