Built in 1923, 3401 Market Street might not scream “historical landmark” at first glance. But trust me, this building has seen a lot. This is 3401 Market Street. It’s part of the University City Science Center, a hub of innovation right here in Philadelphia. What we see today was once known as the University Archives. Step inside, and you’ll find the University Archives and Records Center, a treasure trove of Penn’s history. 3401 Market Street also houses the office of the Curator of the University Art Collection. But there’s more to 3401 Market Street than meets the eye. This building is also home to several other offices and spaces leased to Penn. It’s a testament to the university’s commitment to both preserving the past and shaping the future.
