In 1926, a dedicated group of nuns, the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, embarked on a mission. They sought to create a beacon of knowledge and faith in the heart of Culver City. This beacon, known as Saint Augustine School, opened its doors on September 7th, 1926. It welcomed 123 eager children. Saint Augustine School stands before you now, a testament to their enduring vision. Saint Augustine School has witnessed nearly a century of history unfold. From the trials of two world wars to the rapid advancements of technology, the school has adapted and thrived. It has navigated economic downturns and societal shifts, consistently upholding its commitment to education. The school faced a new challenge in 2020 with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. Saint Augustine School embraced the changing landscape. It redesigned its approach to learning, ensuring that students continued to receive a quality education. The school’s mission remains steadfast: to train young leaders to build community, foster peace, and create innovation to serve mankind.
