What if art could find you? Here at Prince House Gallery, that was the philosophy. Sadly, Prince House Gallery is permanently closed since August 1, 2024. Let’s explore its story. The gallery believed art should be in the midst of life. It aimed to offer viewers new perspectives. Prince House Gallery operated with a unique vision. It strived to integrate art into everyday experiences.
Prince House Gallery provided special services. One was virtual hanging. Interested in a piece? The gallery would virtually hang it in your space. Send them a photo of your wall. They would then digitally place the artwork. This let you see how it would look. You could virtually try out several pieces. This gave you a feel for how they would transform your home.
Prince House Gallery also offered an on-site service. They would bring a selection of artworks to your home. This service was conducted with FFP2 masks and social distancing.
Need advice? Prince House Gallery provided art consultation. This service catered to aesthetics and investment. An expert would advise you on style and content. They also provided insights on art as an investment. The consultation was non-binding and would be deducted from the purchase price if you bought a piece.
Prince House Gallery hosted many exhibitions. These exhibitions showcased diverse artists. From June 20 to July 20, 2024, the gallery held its farewell exhibition. It was titled “WEG//GEFÄHRTEN”. Sabine Arndt and Sabine Becker displayed their art. Roland Behrmann and Katerina Belkina also participated. Christian Borth and Manfred Fuchs contributed too. Robert Häusser and Markus Kaesler added their works. Peter Mathis and Florian W. Müller joined the exhibition. Martin Pöll and Florian Richter showed their art. Andreas Scholz and Gerhard Vormwald were included. Lars Zech completed the lineup.
Andreas Scholz had a solo show from May 4 to May 7, 2023. This exhibition displayed Scholz’s diverse works. Pieces from three decades reflected his view of life. Visitors saw beach scenes and landscapes. The art showed impressive light. It captured the vibrancy of women through the painter’s eyes.
Prince House Gallery participated in the MIA Milan Image Art Fair 2023. Katerina Belkina received the New Post Photography Award in Milan. She won for her series “for all mankind”. The gallery also presented works by other artists. These included Robert Häusser and Gerhard Vormwald. Florian Richter and Sabine Arndt were featured. Johannes Schembs’s art was also on display.
From July 21 to October 15, 2022, Prince House Gallery hosted “ART IN RESIDENCE”. This group exhibition focused on artists from ART Karlsruhe. Sabine Becker’s cobalt blue abstractions were shown. Andreas Scholz’s summer worlds were there too. Manfred Fuchs’s expressive colors were on display. Katerina Belkina welcomed viewers to her “Zweiraumwohnung”. Peter Mathis presented imposing mountainscapes. Lars Zech impressed with dynamic moving portraits.
From July 8 to September 16, 2021, Lea Jade and Hans-Michael Kissel exhibited “KLANG & BEWEGUNG”. The exhibition explored the dialogue between art and viewer. It emphasized experiencing art with all senses.
From October 22 to January 6, 2021, Peter Mathis and Lars Zech presented “SCHNEE”. This exhibition featured Mathis’s works on snow. Zech’s wonderful woodwork was also displayed.
Prince House Gallery, though now closed, leaves a legacy. It championed the idea that art should be an integral part of life. It encouraged new perspectives and horizons. Its innovative services and diverse exhibitions enriched Mannheim’s art scene.
