From humble beginnings to a century of tradition, Cascina Belvedere’s story is one of family and passion for the land. Cascina Belvedere began over a century ago with Eusebio Picco and his wife Marianna. They were the children of rice farmers. They journeyed from Asigliano Vercellese to San Genuario in 1878. The fertile lands of the Pianura Padana Vercellese, rich with water, provided the perfect environment to cultivate rice. The Picco family’s respect for the earth passed down through generations. In 1925, the family relocated to Bianzè to cultivate rice at Cascina Torrone. The story of Cascina Belvedere continued in 1935. Benedetto Picco, one of eleven children, took over the management of the farm. He shared his passion for rice with his son, Eusebio. This marked a new chapter. The family settled permanently at Cascina Belvedere. Benedetto and Gianmario, following in their father’s footsteps, expanded the company. They focused on maintaining the high quality of their rice. They even started replicating seeds. Their efforts earned them awards for the quality and purity of their selections. Driven by their passion, they began converting the rice fields to organic production. At the end of the last century, Gianluca and Massimo Picco, Benedetto’s children, made a significant decision. They chose to sell their rice directly to the public. They wanted to ensure a pure product, controlled at every stage of production. This marked the birth of the Cascina Belvedere brand. The brand represents quality and authenticity, in harmony with nature. Today, Cascina Belvedere continues its commitment to sustainable farming. They respect the earth, animals, air, and water. This care extends to the quality of their products. They offer genuine and flavorful rice. Cascina Belvedere is more than just a rice farm. It is a legacy built on generations of dedication and a deep love for the land.
