Later, in 1996, general education subjects were added to the part-time curriculum. The school continued to evolve. In 2005, it was reorganized and renamed Osaka Prefectural Imamiya Science and Technology High School. The full-time courses were restructured into departments of mechanical systems, electrical systems, architectural systems, and graphic design systems. The part-time program became an integrated course. In 2014, a university preparatory course was added within the engineering department. Osaka Prefectural Imamiya Industrial High School officially closed in 2007. This school has a rich legacy of producing graduates. They have gone on to successful careers in various fields.
