Gasthaus Parzefall wasn’t always called that. Originally, this building was an Upper Palatinate “Dreikanthof”. That’s a farm with three wings, typical for this region. It dates back to the late 18th century. Look at its two stories and gabled roof. Notice the courtyard gallery and the sandstone door frame. The adjacent barn, with its half-hipped roof, also comes from the 18th century.
The history of this site as an inn goes back much further. Records show its existence as a Wirtshaus as far back as the 15th century. Until the secularization, the church owned this establishment. For a short time, the Bavarian administration took over. Then, in the early 19th century, it passed into private hands.
A significant turning point occurred in 1911. Michael Parzefall acquired the Gasthaus. Before that, it was known as Bergmüllersche Gastwirtschaft. Michael gave the Gasthaus his own family name. Thus, Gasthaus Parzefall was born.
The Gasthaus evolved over time. The agricultural operations ceased in the 1960s. In 1998, the old stable building was replaced with a new structure.
Today, Gasthaus Parzefall offers several cozy spaces. There is the traditional Gaststube. You can reserve a table there. For private events, consider the Nebenzimmer. The Stüberl, on the first floor, can host parties of up to 25 people. In summer, the Biergarten beckons. During the warmer months, the Wintergarten is also open.
The kitchen team at Gasthaus Parzefall are ready to prepare delicious meals for you. The menu features homecooked food at fair prices. Guests often praise the friendly service. Some reviewers recommend the Reisenschnitzel.
