The temple itself is a marvel. It’s constructed from Namibia Pearl granite a beautiful African stone. The design is classic modern a single spire reaching towards the heavens. Kufuor himself visited. He stated that the temple would enhance the nation’s spirituality. The temple’s dedication on January 11 2004 by President Gordon B. Hinckley was a deeply moving event. Over 5300 Church members attended. In his dedicatory prayer President Hinckley expressed profound gratitude for the unity of the Saints. He also requested that the Holy Spirit dwell within the temple’s walls.
