An Lập’s story begins on July 17 1986. This was when it was officially founded. Before that An Lập was part of Bến Cát District. The government decided to rename Kiến An commune as An Lập.
Imagine An Lập. It covers an area of 60.21 square kilometers. In 2021 nearly 9843 people called it home. That’s about 163 people per square kilometer.
An Lập is divided into seven hamlets. These are Hàng Nú Đất Đỏ Phú Bình Chót Đồng Bầu Khai Hố Cạn and Kiến An. Each hamlet contributes to the community.
In recent years An Lập has transformed its economy. It has embraced new agricultural practices. The shift has brought positive changes to the area.

Earlier An Lập depended heavily on rubber cultivation. When rubber prices fell life became difficult for many. To solve this An Lập diversified its economy.
Mr. Đỗ Văn Châu Chairman of the Farmers Association played a key role. He coordinated with the district to provide support to farmers. This support included technical guidance and new plants. This helped farmers restructure their farms.
Now you can find fruit orchards and livestock farms. There are about 14 livestock farms in An Lập. They house approximately 20000 animals. Poultry farms raise around 290000 birds. The cultivation of fruit trees and high-value crops like orchids and aloe vera is on the rise. These cover about 60 hectares.
The commercial sector in An Lập is also thriving. As of early 2021 there were 268 individual businesses. They meet the needs of local residents.
An Lập is on a path of progress. The number of businesses is growing fast. Currently there are 24 companies and 190 handicraft businesses operating in An Lập. This shows An Lập is becoming a dynamic economic center.
Looking ahead An Lập is planning for the future. The urban planning stretches from 2030 to 2050. The plans include expanding residential areas. They also include investing in infrastructure.
