Some say the companion Sufyan Bin Aouf Al-Ghamdi first raised its walls. Now, as part of the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, they stand as silent witnesses to the mosque’s rebirth. Modern Mosque AlSafa rises anew. It’s a fusion of ancient and modern, the Sarat architectural style preserved, incorporating the very stones of the Sarawat Mountains.
