King’s Harbor Church a large non-denominational church faced significant setbacks in 2014 and early 2015. These challenges left the church without a senior pastor. Seven pastors from nearby churches stepped in providing crucial temporary leadership. They contacted Pastor Gregg Caruso of VitalChurch Ministry. Pastor Caruso a skilled interim pastor became King’s Harbor’s intentional interim lead pastor.
His 25-month tenure was a period of stabilization and renewal. He worked tirelessly alongside a depleted staff offering encouragement training and support. He established a Transition Team composed of key church members. This team collaborated with Pastor Caruso on five all-church summits. The summits focused on reaffirming the church’s values vision and mission. These summits played a vital role in defining what King’s Harbor sought in its next lead pastor.
Simultaneously a pastoral search team was formed. With the assistance of the Vanderbloemen Group a church staffing firm based in Houston Texas a new lead pastor was found. Pastor Mike Dsane a pastor from The Village Church in the Dallas Metroplex area was chosen.
Pastor Dsane was officially installed as King’s Harbor’s new lead pastor in May 2017. Pastor Caruso’s role concluded. He remained connected to the church offering ongoing support ensuring a smooth transition.
