Nestled amongst the charming streets of Porto, Universidade Lusíada stands as a testament to the city’s rich history and its commitment to education. Its story began in 1987 in Campanhã with just a handful of courses. You wouldn’t believe this but the university has actually been around much longer than many people think, but it has changed its name and location. It originally started as the Universidade Livre, with courses spanning a wide range of subjects, all striving to create an atmosphere of dynamic and enriching academic pursuit. Today, Universidade Lusíada offers a blend of traditional programs and modern disciplines. It boasts a strong faculty, state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge research. Its location in Porto, a city steeped in culture and innovation, enriches the student experience and fosters a vibrant community. One thing many people don’t know is that in 2011, the university bought 20 thousand meters squared of land in Rua de Moçambique to create a new campus which is expected to become a hub of academic achievement for years to come.
