Since 2022, the Mauerfeldschule has been the primary level of the Geschwister-Scholl-School. It is now a connected comprehensive school. Frau Döbert is the acting headmistress. Herr Hubbe is the deputy headmaster. Frau Reinmüller leads levels one through four.

The Mauerfeldschule fosters a supportive environment. They focus on language development. Their approach includes “Deutsch für den Schulstart”. This is a language support concept. It comes from the Institut für Deutsch. The “Sprachförderprofis” of Goethe University in Frankfurt also contribute. English lessons start in the third grade. Third graders also take swimming lessons. These are at the Fröbelschule pool with two sports teachers.

The Mauerfeldschule provides extra support. They offer intensive courses in German. This is for students who speak other languages at home. They also provide help with reading, writing, and math. Classes in Italian and Turkish are available.

The Mauerfeldschule is well-equipped for the digital age. It has iPads, Smartboards, and Wi-Fi in every classroom.

The Förderverein supports the Mauerfeldschule. This association funds school projects. These include the summer concert with choir and melons. Also, the “Happy Erntedank” harvest festival, and lion bookmarks. These are for graduating students. Furthermore, there are reading bags for new students, and staircase concerts. Do not forget the “Das Rote Pferd” carnival party and Christmas tree. The “Let it Shine” Christmas flash mob is also supported. As well as the music mobile, recess games, and Nikolausmarkt.

After-school activities are also available. Options include badminton and choir. There are also games and art. Students can beautify the school. There is also animal care, football, and library. Girls’ and boys’ groups are available. Also, creative activities and a reading dog are available.

The Sekretariat is open from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. On Fridays, it closes at 11:30 AM. Frau Winter is the secretary. Herr Bügelmeyer is the caretaker. Frau Maier is the school parents’ advisory board member. The IB-Bildungszentrum Offenbach runs the all-day care program. Frau Laska is the contact person. Early care is from 7:30 to 8:45 AM. Afternoon care is from 12:30 to 4:15 PM. Lunch is in the GSS cafeteria. Mrs. Habdank is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Her hours are from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

The Mauerfeldschule prepares students for the future. The school offers information evenings for parents. This is in the fourth grade. The goal is to prepare them for secondary school. The Antolin reading program has been in use since November 2022.
