Leading this charge is Pastor Cory J. Chavis. He is a Detroit native. Pastor Chavis brings a unique blend of traditional values and modern ministry methods. He graduated with honors from St. Mary’s of Redford. Later he excelled at the University of Detroit Mercy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His academic journey also includes a Master in Business Administration from Ashford University. He received religious training at Michigan Theological Seminary.
Pastor Chavis’s commitment extends beyond the church. He was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the State of Michigan Community Corrections Board. He serves as a Detroit Police Chaplain. He is also involved with the Youth Violence Prevention Board. He actively participates in the Ceasefire Implementation Team.
Bishop Chavis was consecrated in April 2018. Later that year he was elevated to Presiding Prelate. He supports ministry growth nationwide. Bishop Chavis believes in empowering his congregation. He encourages a Kingdom Focus and a victorious mindset.
