“Long ago it was a place of military importance.” Today we explore H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y. It is a ward in C\u1ea9m L\u1ec7 District of Da Nang City.
H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y was established in 2005. It came from part of H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd commune. The remaining part became H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd \u0110\u00f4ng ward. Both are in C\u1ea9m L\u1ec7 District.
Before 1975, H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y hosted military bases. The US-Saigon regime used it for war efforts. There were training centers and outposts. These protected Da Nang’s inner city. Despite being in enemy territory, H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y remained loyal to the revolution. It was recognized as a Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.
After reunification, H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y became vital for infrastructure. It supported the city’s socio-economic growth. The ward has the 500kV North-South power transmission station. It also includes the H\u00f2a C\u1ea7m Industrial Park. The C\u1ea7u \u0110\u1ecf Water Plant is here. For security, it hosts the Military Political School. Several national defense training centers are also present.
Phan H\u1eefu Thu\u1eadn is the Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee. He noted recent changes due to infrastructure connections. Previously, key facilities lacked transport links. This fragmented residential areas and hindered economic growth.
H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y was the last C\u1ea9m L\u1ec7 ward to get a new market. This happened recently despite a large population. It serves thousands of workers in the industrial park.
The People’s Committee and departments have supported H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y. They focused on investment and construction. However, more investment is needed. H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y was primarily agricultural. It has diverse terrain and scattered residents. Unplanned housing and limited transport remain challenges.
To boost growth, transport links are improving. This unlocks potential for development. In 2019, agricultural land was fully utilized. Revenue from taxes and fees increased. This was due to thriving commercial activities.
“X\u00f3m M\u00edt,” once a small area, has grown. It’s near Tr\u01b0\u1eddng S\u01a1n and Nguy\u1ec5n Ph\u00fa H\u1eefu streets. It has expanded from dozens to nearly 300 households. Population growth has brought vibrancy.
V\u0103n L\u00e0nh, a local leader, shared changes since the H\u00f2a C\u1ea7m Industrial Park opened. Young locals found jobs nearby. “X\u00f3m M\u00edt” attracted families for work in the park. It blends rural charm with urban life.
The \u0110\u1ed3ng B\u00e9 area is developing with new homes. The city’s Biotechnology Center is here. In November, the blooming chrysanthemums attract visitors. \u0110\u1ed3ng B\u00e9 is the endpoint of the western ring road. This connects transport and urban development.
South of H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y stretches along the C\u1ea9m L\u1ec7 and Y\u00ean rivers. Villages like Phong L\u1ec7 and C\u1ea9m B\u00ecnh grew tobacco and peanuts. The C\u1ea7u \u0110\u1ecf – T\u00fay Loan riverside road is under construction. This is a key project for urban development. Dinh Khoa hopes planning projects will progress quickly. Some projects have stalled, like the H\u00f2a C\u1ea7m Industrial Park expansion.
Phan H\u1eefu Thu\u1eadn notes slow development in production and trade. This affects socio-economic plans. The 7.5km C\u1ea7u \u0110\u1ecf – T\u00fay Loan road is a positive sign. Upon completion in 2021, it will connect with Th\u0103ng Long – T\u00fay Loan road. This will reduce traffic on Tr\u01b0\u1eddng S\u01a1n and C\u1ea7u \u0110\u1ecf – T\u00fay Loan roads.
Another road linking H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y to Phong B\u1eafc is underway. This will improve transport for residents and industrial workers. The C\u1ea9m L\u1ec7 Industrial Cluster project relocates businesses from residential areas. Three more projects boost local growth: the H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y market and resettlement area. There is also a road along the railway and a Cultural-Sports Center. These projects promise a brighter future for H\u00f2a Th\u1ecd T\u00e2y.
