Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc S\u01b0 ph\u1ea1m – \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng is known in English as the University of Science and Education. It is a member of the prestigious University of Da Nang. The university specializes in pedagogical disciplines. It also offers bachelor of science programs. It holds a place among Vietnam’s national key teacher training universities.
Founded on April 4 1994 it quickly became a hub for educational research. It also became a center for technology deployment. Its goal is to serve the economic and social development of the central and central highlands regions.
The university’s history is rich and varied. In December 1975 the People’s Committee of Quang Nam-Da Nang province established the Quang Nam-Da Nang Middle School. This was done to build a new education in the area. In November 1976 the College of Education was established. It was under the University of Education of Quy Nhon.
In 1978 the College of Education Quang Nam – Da Nang separated. It became an independent unit under the Ministry of Education and Training. In 1990 several schools merged into the College of Education Quang Nam – Da Nang. These included the Quang Nam-Da Nang Kindergarten, the Quang Nam-Da Nang Children’s school, and the Quang Nam-Da Nang Education Management School.
In 1994 Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc S\u01b0 ph\u1ea1m was officially established. It was formed from the College of Education. Also included were the University of Foreign Languages and the basic departments of the University of Technology.
In 2002 the University of Foreign Languages was separated. It was reorganized from five foreign language faculties of Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc S\u01b0 ph\u1ea1m.
The university boasts modern facilities. These support teaching learning and scientific research. The lecture halls and classrooms cover 10000 square meters. There are nine multimedia rooms equipped with laptops. A server room and electronic textbook production rooms are also available. Thirty-nine labs for Physics Chemistry Biology and Geography are well-equipped. The large auditorium seats over 600 people. The library houses numerous books. All rooms and departments are connected via the University of Da Nang’s optical cable network.
Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc S\u01b0 ph\u1ea1m has a strong team of lecturers. The university has 267 lecturers. This includes 14 associate professors 125 doctors and 142 masters.
The university has partnerships with universities and research institutes. It also collaborates with education centers and colleges. These collaborations extend to international institutions. They are located in Eastern Europe Russia France and Canada.
Tr\u01b0\u1eddng \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc S\u01b0 ph\u1ea1m – \u0110\u1ea1i h\u1ecdc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng has trained thousands of masters and doctors. It has also trained over 15000 bachelor’s degree holders and nearly 18000 teachers. The State President has awarded the Labor Medal to the university.
