Let’s delve into the heart of Saint Gerards Church. Mass times are Saturday at 8:00 am. There are also masses at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm in Spanish. Sunday masses are at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. Weekday masses are Monday to Friday at 6:30 am. There are also Spanish masses Monday to Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Saint Gerards Church provides other services. Eucharistic Adoration and Rosary take place on Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help is on Tuesdays. It is followed by Mass from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You can also make an appointment.

Saint Gerard Majella is the patron saint of expectant mothers. His feast day is celebrated on October 16th. He was born in Muro, Italy, in 1726. At 23, he became a Redemptorist Father and Brother. By 26, in 1752, he was a professed lay brother. Saint Gerard served as sacristan, gardener, porter, infirmarian, and tailor.

Saint Gerard Majella embodied charity, obedience, and selfless service. His ceaseless mortification for Christ made him a perfect model. He suffered from tuberculosis. He died in 1755 at the young age of twenty-nine. He is invoked as a patron of expectant mothers because of a miracle. His prayers helped a woman in labor.

The Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers founded Saint Gerards school. They still minister at the nearby Saint Gerards Church. Saint Alphonsus Liguori founded the Redemptorists in 1732. They began in Scala near Naples, Italy. Today, the Redemptorists number 5300 members. They serve God’s people in 78 countries.

Right Source Roofing & Construction worked with Saint Gerard Catholic High School. The school was founded in 1927. It is a popular landmark in San Antonio. The company leveled off a concrete floor inside the school. This renovation maximized space for the students.
