The Casa de las Tejas was demolished to make way for the new complex. The land was previously occupied by railway tracks a barrier separating neighborhoods.
The Centro Civico’s design is truly unique. It’s a masterpiece of deconstructivism. Two main buildings make up the completed first phase. Building A is a mid-rise concrete prism. It’s a 45-meter high square structure that dramatically rotates 20 degrees at 16 meters. This creates intriguing triangular facades.
