“Zebulon Cafè Concert” is quite a name isn’t it? Today we are at Zebulon L.A.. This music venue, bar, and restaurant has a story that stretches from Brooklyn to Los Angeles.

Zebulon first opened its doors in Brooklyn. It quickly became a local favorite. New York magazine even named it a critic’s pick. Sadly, the Brooklyn location closed in December 2012. But that was not the end for Zebulon.

More than four years later, Zebulon L.A. was reborn. It found a new home in Los Angeles’ Frogtown neighborhood in 2017. Guillaume Blestel, Joce, and Jef Soubiran own Zebulon. They bring a unique vision to this space.

Zebulon L.A. features nightly performances. You can see both local and international musicians here. The original Brooklyn location hosted legends like Ravi Shankar and Melvin Van Peebles. The Los Angeles location continues this tradition. Ty Segall, Kim Gordon, and Black Midi have all graced the Zebulon stage.

Zebulon is more than just a music venue. It is also a cultural hub. Because the owners are French natives, Zebulon is a popular spot for French expats and francophiles. The venue often collaborates with La Collectionneuse, a French film screening club. They host free screenings of French films. Club members often gather at Zebulon for drinks and food before the screenings. Sometimes, DJs or musical acts perform music related to the film.

If you are planning to catch a show here at Zebulon L.A., remember a few things. Doors open at 8 PM unless noted otherwise. Most shows are standing room only. If there is seating, it is first come, first served. Also, shows are 21+ unless otherwise noted.
