Hello everyone. Welcome to the Kryukovskaya overpass in Zelenograd. This bridge is more than just a structure of iron and concrete. It is a vital artery connecting the historic Staroye Kryukovo district with the modern Novokryukovo district.
Kryukovskaya overpass is one of two overpasses. It links the old and new parts of Zelenograd. The other one is Starokryukovskaya overpass.
Imagine Zelenograd before 1998. The city was divided. The railway tracks acted as a barrier. Crossing from one side to the other was a challenge. The Kryukovskaya overpass changed all that.
Construction of the Kryukovskaya overpass took four years. Officially, it opened in 1998. Unofficially, it may have opened in November 1997.
The Kryukovskaya overpass stretches 626 meters long. It carries traffic over the October Railway line. It also crosses passenger platforms of the Kryukovo station.
